Meet of Champions (MOC) Declaration Information

Declaring your swimmer for this event simply lets us know they are available to attend the Meet of Champions (MOC) on Saturday, June 27 at 3PM. Declaring does not mean your swimmer has qualified.

Final qualifications will be determined after the conclusion of our last regular-season meet. Families of qualifying swimmers will receive an email notification once results have been finalized.

WHALe must move very quickly after pre-season ends to organize MOC, so it is important for our team to know swimmer availability as early as possible. Even if you are unsure whether your swimmer will qualify, please declare them if they would be available to compete on June 27.

Many families already have summer vacation plans, and some qualifying swimmers may not be available to attend. When that happens, invitations may be offered to the next eligible swimmer. We will use these declarations to determine which qualifying swimmers are available to receive MOC invitations.

Volunteer Requirement

Parents must volunteer at MOC in order for their swimmer to participate in MOC. Additional information regarding volunteer positions will be provided closer to the meet.

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible to compete at MOC, a swimmer must have participated in at least two (2) dual meets during the season.

To be eligible to compete in a relay event at MOC, a swimmer must also be entered in an individual event at MOC.

MOC Events and Entries

The events offered at MOC are the same as those swum during regular-season dual meets. Each team may enter based on fastest times:

• Two (2) relay teams per relay event
• Eight (8) swimmers per freestyle event
• Four (4) swimmers per backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly event
• Three (3) swimmers per individual medley (IM) event

These entry limits are established by WHALe and cannot be waived.
