What to Bring to a SWIM MEET

Swim meets start early or run late and can last for a while, so it is smart to have everything ready in advance. You not only need your swim essentials but you need food and some things to keep you busy while you are waiting for an event. Most meets will have concessions so you may want to bring money as well.

  • Two pairs of Goggles: one to keep as a spare
  • Team cap plus an extra cap
  • Towel, plus an extra towel as they tend to get wet and stay wet
  • Socks & shoes or flip flops
  • Extra appropriate clothing to cover up when you are not swimming and to stay warm. Bring sweatpants, sweatshirt and/or team t-shirt, hat, sunscreen.  We are in Texas, the weather is a bit unpredictable sometimes so you always want to be prepared.

Fuel for the body

  • Water bottle plus extra water to refill and/or sports drinks to stay hydrated.
  • Healthy snacks like yogurt, sliced fruit, cut-up vegetables, fruit bars, granola bars, energy bars, goldfish, cheese sticks, crackers, pretzels, nuts.

Please fill out this form if you are interested in being a Tiger Buddy for the 2026 Season.
